Workplace Giving Community Gathers in Record Numbers for Fundamentals Workshop

From the Boardroom of Pacific Equity Partners  (Workplace Giving Australia Network member and long-time supporter of workplace giving), a group of curious and motivated businesses and charities gathered for a Workplace Giving Fundamentals Workshop on the 31st July. This was the fourth time to run the workshop this year and has now brought together 60 organisations to discuss the workplace giving journey.

Expertly led by Nikki Anstis, Head of Advocacy and Engagement and Bronwyn Wood, Partnerships Manager, the interactive workshop was delivered in two sessions.  Firstly, a deep dive into the data uncovered an understanding of the giving landscape of Australia backed by Workplace Giving Australia's 2024 research (as well as other sources such as the CAF World Giving Index and the ATO payroll giving numbers).
This led to an exploration of the growth opportunity to do more in supporting the important work of Australian charities.

In the second session, the group moved into solutions mode and discussed some of the fundamental elements of a successful workplace giving program. Thanks to our Network members for leading these conversations and providing their exemplary case studies for the benefit of all. A particular mention to Good2Give client REA Group and their 'Because We Care' workplace giving program. In its 10th year, 'Because We Care' continues to gain momentum and deliver beyond its $1M plus contribution to charitable and community causes, through engagement activities such as their paid volunteering and community café.

Workplace Giving Australia will be leading this workshop again on the 15th October in an online format. Registration will open in August, check here soon at The Network event listing.
