Double Your Impact
Workplace Giving Month 2025
This June, join the national movement to make giving at work the norm, not the exception.
#WorkplaceGivingMonth, proudly led by Workplace Giving Australia, is a month-long campaign designed to raise awareness, spark action, and grow the power of workplace giving across Australia.
Under this year’s theme, Double Your Impact, we’re spotlighting the incredible potential of matched donations, where employers match employee contributions, multiplying their impact for charities doing vital work.
Whether you're a business ready to activate social good, a charity seeking deeper engagement, or an employee passionate about making a difference, now is the time to get involved.
#WorkplaceGivingMonth ideas for businesses
Data tells us the majority of companies match their people’s donations to achieve double the amount of giving (and it’s one of the top reasons why employees choose to give at work). Accepting a double dare for your program could look like this:
Double donations: roll out a time-specific matching campaign which has a target to double donations from participation in your program, backed by matching (or double matching) by the business.
Double your champions: one of the success fundamentals we advise on is embracing champions within the workplace to double the resources promoting giving. Make a call out to the workforce to double your committee numbers or champion network.
Double new sign-ups: how about setting a goal to “double it” with new sign-ups month on month, doubling the donors this workplace giving month.
#WorkplaceGivingMonth ideas for charities
Charities play a big part in communicating the outcomes of workplace giving and capturing the collective impact for the beneficiaries of their work. Our Double Your Impact challenge is around communication:
Doubled donations means double the impact: Provide your corporate partners with impact messages that show how the double (or tripled) donations could enable your work.
Double your champions: Check your peer to peer fundraisers who are connected to a workforce and ask them to be a champion for you. This can lead to increased awareness within a current workplace giving supporter or open up new opportunities.
Double up your giving: Talk to your individual givers to let them know about the benefits of giving through the workplace.
#WorkplaceGivingMonth ideas for employees
As the donor, you play the most important role of all. We challenge you to consider one or more of these double dares for your giving this month.
Double your donations: increase your pre-tax payroll donations in June. Your charity will be doubly grateful.
Double up with a workmate: encourage your colleague(s) to join you in making a donation to your charity.
Double down on supporting your charity: seek out the opportunity to give your time as well as your money. Volunteering is a great way to show your support and see first hand the impact for the charity.
