Terms and Conditions relating to the use of Good2Give Community Fund’s Fundraising Licences

1.              Use of Good2Give Community Fund’s Fundraising Licences

1.1.         Clauses 38 to 41 are only applicable to Agreements where the SOW includes the use of Good2Give Community Fund’s Fundraising Licences.

1.2.         Use of Good2Give Community Fund’s Fundraising Licences is only available in conjunction with a Foundation Account.

1.3.         Good2Give authorises the Account Founder to undertake fundraising activities in compliance with the terms of Good2Give Community Fund’s Fundraising Licences (“Fundraising Licences”) and in accordance with these terms and conditions.

1.4.         The Fundraising Licences are obtained by Good2Give as Trustee for Good2Give Community Fund pursuant to the applicable legislation of each State and Territory and cover Good2Give Community Fund as a whole including all Foundation Accounts.

2.              Approved Fundraising Activities

2.1.         Only Approved Fundraising Activities can take place under this Agreement.

2.2.         Fundraising Activities are those which solicit the receiving of money, property, or other benefit from the public for charitable purpose. Fundraising Activities may take many forms.

2.3.         The Account Founder must submit any plans for Fundraising Activities to G2G for approval. Only those activities which have been approved by G2G in writing are Approved Fundraising Activities.

2.4.         The Account Founder must obtain approval from G2G in writing prior to circulating any promotional materials. Wherever you include the name of your Foundation Account you must also state “a sub fund of Good2Give Community Fund” after the name of your Foundation Account.

2.5.         You must, for the duration of the Fundraising Activity, hold and maintain with an accredited insurer your own public liability insurance, workers compensation insurance, and such other insurances as are reasonably required to cover the risks associated with the promotion and administration of the Fundraising Activity.

2.6.         You must ensure that all occupational health and safety laws, privacy laws, and other relevant legislation is complied with by you, your employees, and any other person involved in managing the Fundraising Activity.

2.7.         You may not deduct expenses from the proceeds of a Fundraising Activity without our prior agreement in writing in which case we will require an estimate of the income that is expected to be generated by the Fundraising Activity and will use our judgement to ascertain that the proposed expenses are reasonable. As a guide, expenses (including any fees to G2G) should not be greater than 30% of the income raised.

2.8.         When conducted in a public place, identification badges must be worn by the fundraiser collectors which state whether the collectors are paid or are volunteers.

2.9.         No fundraising may take place until G2G has issued a Letter of Authority to Fundraise.

3.              Accepting Donations in Cash

3.1.         Cash Donations can only be accepted with G2G’s prior approval.

3.2.         You will be provided with a receipt book in order to provide donors with tax receipts where their donation is $2 or more. These must be returned to G2G on conclusion of the Fundraising Activities.

3.3.         You must deposit all cash donations received promptly into the bank account nominated by G2G without setting off any amounts in relation to fundraising or other expenses.

3.4.         You are responsible for the security over the cash donations from receipt until they have been deposited into the bank account.

3.5.         You may only deposit the cash donations into the bank account nominated by G2G in order for the donations to be tax deductible. You may not deposit them into your own or another account even temporarily.

3.6.         Cash in relation to donations must be accounted for separately from cash in relation to any other activities for example the sale of merchandise or raffle tickets.

4.              Accepting Non-Cash Donations

4.1.         Non-cash donations including credit card and direct deposit can be facilitated by G2G if they form part of the SOW.

4.2         Non-cash donations are received directly by Good2Give Community Fund. They will be allocated to your Foundation Account and a receipt will be issued to the donor electronically.
